The European Commission has announced the nine finalists of the 2024 #BeInclusive EU Sport Awards, celebrating projects that harness the power of sport to promote inclusion, gender equality, and peace. Selected from 101 submissions, the finalists compete across three categories, namely “Breaking barriers in sport”, “Promoting gender equality in sport “Be Equal”, and “Sport for peace”. Winners will be announced on 12 May in Brussels, each receiving €10,000, with €2,500 awarded to runners-up. Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport, Glenn Micallef will open the ceremony.
