Share 2.0 highlights cross-sector innovation in sport, health, and education

The SHARE 2.0 initiative continues to drive collaboration across sectors with a series of capacity-building events addressing health, education, and innovation in sport.

In May, the Community of Practice on Health convened to explore the intersection of physical activity, education, and the prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). With contributions from the Polish EU Presidency, participants emphasised the importance of embedding daily physical activity into school routines, upgrading infrastructure, and expanding access, especially for disadvantaged youth. These discussions aim to influence upcoming revisions to EU guidelines on health-enhancing physical activity.

In June, SHARE 2.0 organized a capacity-building event on urban innovation, with the Community of Practice on Innovation showcasing creative solutions for self-organised sport in public spaces. Initiatives from Denmark and Belgium highlighted inclusive, youth-oriented infrastructure and co-designed facilities. Finally, Sports + Vitality presented a vision for a collaborative European ecosystem to support sport-related innovation.

To complement these efforts, the SHARE 2.0 sport innovation group released two strategic papers. One targets digital transformation in grassroots clubs, while the other promotes entrepreneurship through improved access to education, funding, and partnerships. These resources aim to equip stakeholders with tools to scale innovation across European sport landscape.
