SHARE 2.0 publishes two ideas papers
The SHARE 2.0 Community of Practice on health has recently published two “ideas papers” exploring how sport and physical activity can contribute to healthier lifestyles and improved mental well-being. The first paper focuses on building health-supportive environments by integrating sport into urban planning, promoting active mobility and designing inclusive opportunities for all age groups.
The second paper addresses the growing importance of mental health, particularly among young people, and puts forward recommendations such as training coaches to provide support, introducing early detection mechanisms in schools and sports clubs, and fostering stronger cooperation between the health and sport sectors. Developed following the first annual SHARE 2.0 conference in Brussels in 2024, these resources are intended to guide policymakers and local stakeholders in shaping inclusive, health-oriented sport strategies across Europe.
