ENGSO Youth Young Delegates contribute to the EU Youth Goals Consultation

The European Youth Goals set out young people’s vision for Europe and form an important part of the EU Youth Strategy 2019–2027. As the Strategy comes to an end, the Goals are being reviewed and updated to reflect young people’s current priorities.

As part of this process, ENGSO Youth Young Delegates joined a focus group and  shared their perspectives on three emerging “missing themes”: peace and security, quality of life, and digitalisation and digital rights.

  • Peace and security: safe and inclusive communities, safeguarding, human rights and meaningful youth participation.
  • Quality of life: affordable housing, access to education and healthcare, employment, mental health and equal opportunities.
  • Digitalisation and digital rights: digital and AI literacy, data protection, online safety and tackling misinformation.

Across the discussion, Young Delegates also highlighted the role of sport in creating safe spaces, strengthening social connections and promoting inclusion and wellbeing. These contributions were then submitted as part of ENGSO Youth’s response.

This work will continue through the 12th cycle of the EU Youth Dialogue, running from July 2026 to December 2027 and focusing on Youth Goal #4: Information and Constructive Dialogue.
