EU Youth Conference: Key Outcomes and Recommendations

The EU Youth Conference under the Cypriot Presidency took place from 24–26 March 2026. The event was held online, bringing together youth delegates and ministerial representatives from across Europe.

Participants worked in eight thematic groups to discuss the future of the EU Youth Strategy, the European Youth Goals, and ways to strengthen the connection between young people and the European Union.

Over the course of three days, the programme included interactive discussions, a Q&A session with Sabrina Repp, and panel exchanges with European Commissioners. These sessions provided valuable opportunities for dialogue between young people and decision-makers.

The Conference resulted in eight key recommendations, which will feed into the Council Conclusions of the 11th cycle of the EU Youth Dialogue. These recommendations aim to support advocacy efforts and guide policymakers in addressing issues that matter most to young people across Europe

ENGSO Youth welcomes the recommendations from the EU Youth Conference and sees strong alignment with the objectives of the EUYOUSPORT project, which promotes youth participation, inclusion, and democratic engagement. The focus on participation standards, non-formal learning, inclusive communication, and accessible funding for grassroots initiatives directly reflects the realities of the grassroot sport sector, where sport serves as a key tool for empowering young people and fostering social inclusion.
