Partners launched research on integrity in Ukraine and Moldova as part of the Integrity Atlas project

The Integrity Atlas project has stepped into a crucial phase of the research that will be led by the State University of Moldova.

This first-of-its-kind research aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of how integrity is promoted and applied in sport, both at the individual level (athletes, coaches, referees, parents) and at the institutional level (federations, sports organizations, ministries, Olympic committees, anti-doping agencies). The focus is on identifying best practices and vulnerable points in the sports systems of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.

Thanks to the collaboration within the framework of the project, partners will be able to delve into various areas related to integrity: match-fixing, combating violence, safeguarding minors, and the integration of integrity into university curricula will be the main focus areas.

On the basis of the research, a national roadmap to promote integrity, as well as capacity-building training and local activities for sport federations in both countries, will be developed with the support of EOA and ENGSO.

The Integrity and Values Atlas in the Neighbourhood Region project is a capacity-building project in the field of sport, co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme.

The project is a collaborative effort aimed at promoting integrity as a fundamental value within the Sport Movement in the Neighbourhood Region. It brings together key stakeholders, including the National Olympic Committees of Moldova and Ukraine, along with academic institutions such as Moldova State University, and sports organizations like the European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation and the European Olympic Academies.
